diggin' PS CS4

im really liking CS4. CS3 was just far too clunky to run smoothly on windows xp. it seems that cs4 is smoother, and i like the updated interface as well. im also having loads of fun with the pixel bender toolkit, especially the droste effect plugin. very trippy effects from this 3rd party plugin. much love for the new photoshop.

also, i am in the middle of a book called The Botany of Desire, by Michael Pollan. the book explains the relationship between humankind and 4 different plants that humans have cultivated through history. exiting read for plant nerds like me :).This book is damn interesting, as well as easy to follow, as it is written for the layman.

was gone for a while, sorry i could not read everyone's comments or give people thanks for favorites and adds. anyways, heres a poem i stayed up till 5:30 writing

We're driving down the interstate, it's 3 a.m.
We've go a secret in the trunk, only you can know
Said the secret to the driver:
"Trade off your friends, buy a new watch, and go to a show"
Masters of deception, we're prophets of notorious misdirection
We've been here since before Babylon's construction
The tires drone on as we near our destination
We steal Cadillacs and Preach Sermons with fertilizer tongues, and govern counties with fists full of nails and ball bearings
This bridge ahead marks the spot
Park the car, open the trunk
Grab the wirecutters, we're in for a walk
Dodging stray headlights from the road we've just left
Hiking through the desert, we're groovin' along
Suddenly interrupted- somethings goin' wrong
Gunshots and insults from a self hating priest
Hes been fed to much whiskey, and wants to kill this beast
So he sets free his troubles to attack us
In a quite personal form
Bullets exchanged, the conflict is ended
Walk over to him, I bent downward
He's got tattoos and scars to mark his scorn
Rest easy now, the journey's over
You've got what you wanted, now wear your crown of thorns

Any thoughts/recommendations on any of these authors?

Jack Kerouac
Allen Ginsberg
Charles Bukowski
John Cheever
Kurt Vonnegut
Hunter S. Thompson

I've read some of Bukowski's poems, and seen the movie Factotum. I was thinking of reading Ham and Rye after I'm done with Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Maybe John Cheever after that. Anyways, any books/stories/poems of theirs' that I should read first?

great quote

"There are times, however, and this is one of them, when even being right feels wrong. What do you say, for instance, about a generation that has been taught that rain is poison and sex is death? If making love might be fatal and if a cool spring breeze on any summer afternoon can turn a crystal blue lake into a puddle of black poison right in front of your eyes, there is not much left except TV and relentless masturbation. It's a strange world. Some people get rich and others eat shit and die."

Network folder sharing in XP, help needed

Journal Entry: Tue Nov 20, 2007, 3:14 PM
After using Vista for quite some time, i finally got a working copy of XP, that im back to. One thing i DID like about vista, was that i could share entire folders automatically, so other network members could access my music collection. I know this can be done in XP, but i believe it requires the target folder being moved to the primary drive, which is not an option for me. I keep my music on my secondary drive, so that if i decide to reformat, i dont need to move it. Duplicating the folder is also not an option, as that would eat up too much space (i have a HUGE collection). Back to the point though, anyone know how to add a target folder to the shared network, without moving the folder? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
